The tiff between Vadivelu and Singamuthu intensified with the police arresting the latter on allegations that he threatened to kill the former. A police complaint in this regard was filed by the manager of Vadivelu, following which Singamuthu was arrested and sent to Puzhal prison.
The trouble started between the two actors, who were once close pals, due to a land deal. It may be recalled that Vadivelu alleged that Singamuthu cheated him to a tune of several crores by fixing land deals. Singamuthu was arrested and remanded to 13 days judicial custody.
